As it should be, summer is all about good food, drinks with friends on patios and enjoying the beautiful weather.
However, it’s also where we all become very relaxed in our diet and fitness.
Workouts become something we’ll “get to if there isn’t anything better to do”. Our drinks with friends turns into binge eating 3000 calories in nachos and wings.
Now, I’ll be the first to tell you that you don’t need to give up all the goodness of life and never have a good time with some drinks and good food.
But it doesn’t make any sense to throw away months of hard work and dedication to get to where you are now, right?
So, let’s make this summer different.
Let’s make this the summer where we enjoy all the awesome things about summer time, BUT we also ensure we fit our workouts in and keep our diet at least 80% dialled in, preferably 90%.
Go ahead and have some drinks in the evening on a nice night. Just make sure you’ve already done your workout for the day.
Enjoy some of the delicious food at the BBQ, because you kept your diet dialled in for the last 5 days with lots of vegetables, meats/fish/eggs and good fats.
And to give you some extra incentive and motivation to do this, I’m putting on a “30 Day RESET Challenge” starting July 1, 2015!
If you’ve never heard of the “RESET Challenge” before, it’s a 12 week transformation challenge put on by USANA Health Sciences around New Year’s and thousands of people enter from all around the world.
A few BOOM Bodyshaping clients entered the most recent challenge last January and had AMAZING success with it. One of our clients lost almost 30 lbs in 12 weeks!
So, I’ve decided to put on my own “RESET Challenge” to stay focused through the summer, but shorten it to 30 days because it’s still summer after all 🙂
